The National Environmental Balancing Bureau will offer its Specialty Certificate Course for Building Systems Commissioning. The seminar and subsequent exam days will be held March 12-16 at NEBB TEC in Gaithersburg, MD.
According to NEBB, this seminar is geared for those who have their NEBB CP and want to expand their knowledge and scope to a more advanced level to eventually receive a specialty certificate, or for those who want to learn more about the five specialties featured during the week. Knowledge of basic commissioning practices is helpful to understand the focus of each specialty featured.
The week-long course is designed in modules, each day focusing on five advanced specialty aspects of building commissioning. At the end of each day, a test will be given to evaluate the knowledge obtained during the training.
Specialty certificate modules include building envelope commissioning, electrical systems commissioning, special electrical systems commissioning (fire alarm, security, and communications), plumbing systems commissioning, and fire protection systems commissioning.
