Nationwide Boiler Inc. has released results from its 39th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund. This year, the company will be donating a total amount of $64,000 to the two charitable organizations, surpassing the company’s previous record.

The tournament team from Nationwide Boiler began raising funds in January for this year’s event, and accepted donations in the form of hole, table, water bottle and golf ball sponsorships, as well as monetary donations. The company also organized multiple raffles, auctions, and other activities throughout the tournament to raise additional funds. The company also announced the dates for its 40th annual tournament, scheduled for May 6-7, 2020 in Pebble Beach, California.

One of the largest chapters nationwide, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area is a non- profit organization founded in 1984. In its first year of operation, a total of 27 wishes were granted to fulfill the dreams of children  who have been diagnosed with critical illnesses. To date, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area has granted more than 8,600 wishes.

The Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund was founded by the American Boiler Manufacturers Association for the promotion of careers in boiler engineering and fabrication. Specifically, the fund supports post-secondary education and/or technical training for graduating high school students pursuing careers in the commercial, institutional, industrial or power-generating boiler, combustion, and related equipment industries. Last year, the organization awarded 14 individual scholarships and has provided over $175,000 worth of scholarships since inception.
