King-Gage, part of Marsh Bellofram since 2011, has marketed application-specific solutions for level measurement, inventory tank gauging, and compressed air filtration to the chemical, industrial, offshore, marine, and F&B industries for more than 80 years.
Measuring and verifying both the energy input and the system’s output is essential for data-based optimization, which delivers the biggest savings because varying the energy input of any piece of equipment will vary the total system output.
Belimo has released new larger sizes of inline flow sensors, 2.5 inch to 6 inch, that offer automatic glycol measurement and compensation for optimal system performance. Belimo officials said the flow sensors utilize ultrasonic technology with glycol compensation to provide accurate and repeatable flow measurements of water and water/glycol mixtures without drift in any HVAC application.
While yesterday’s engineers have made great progress, we’re just cracking the surface, and the future relies on the experimental efforts of today’s engineers.
Sensaphone® has added two new sensors to its line of remote monitoring equipment for HVAC applications. The Sensaphone Duct Mount Air Flow Transmitter measures the rate of airflow and alerts users when conditions fall outside of the preset threshold. The transmitter monitors the presence or absence of cool moving air and measures relative airflow from 0-16 meters per second.
Air Monitor has released its OAM II Airflow Measurement System. The company says the system provides reliable airflow measurement without straight duct runs and is accurate when wet.
Extech Instruments launched the Extech TH30, RHT30, and RHT35 compact dataloggers. The new family of three environmental recording instruments is designed to provide HVACR professionals with easy access to real-time temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure readings as well as insights compiled from extended readings preformatted in Excel® or PDF® report formats.
