Danfoss introduced its Magnetic Tool refrigeration app. The app allows HVACR technicians to use their smartphones for magnetic field detection. Company officials said the app serves as a more convenient alternative to the variety of tools HVACR technicians rely on to ensure solenoid valves function properly.
Danfoss is introducing a new range of fixed gas detectors for industrial refrigeration applications. The company says the gas detectors are based on a digital platform that delivers multiple communication and integration options for improved operational reliability, easy calibration, and maintenance procedures that enable high service efficiency and regulatory compliance.
MSA Safety Incorporated has released its Chillgard® VRF Refrigerant Leak Detector with integrated BACNet capability. Designed with MSA’s advanced photoacoustic infrared (PAIR) sensing technology, Chillgard VRF Refrigerant Detectors operate with a stable zero baseline.
According to Det-Tronics, its SmokeWatch™ U5015 uses advanced photoelectric smoke detection technology not generally available in an explosion-proof housing. The detector is rated for Class 1 Division 1, 2, and Zone 1 environments found in industrial applications. Used with the Q5016 Duct Mount Accessory, the detector can be installed on ductwork to meet NFPA 90A requirements for AHUs of more than 2,000 cfm.
When dangerous amounts of CO are detected, the CO1224T and CO1224TR (round) CO detectors alert occupants by sounding and flashing a temp-four signal alarm. With 24/7 central station monitoring, officials with System Sensor said occupants are guaranteed protection from the effects of CO.
This CO detector from System Sensor can meet both fire and carbon monoxide code requirements The Advanced Multi-Criteria Fire/CO Detector (AMCF/CO) combines fire and CO protection using only four wires and one footprint.
System Sensor announced that its FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology® now comes equipped with direct ModBus connectivity. According to the company, FAAST’s built-in ModBus protocol enables seamless communication with building management systems without any additional hardware or software, making bidding, system design, and installation easier.
