Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. upgraded its SM Series, two-stage geothermal water source heat pump. Bosch redesigned its SM vertical and counterflow cabinets with an increased focus on serviceability and reliability, with front water connections and an all-aluminum air coil to resist formicary corrosion. Bosch says it also redesigned the internal layout for easier access through the front panel to components most often requiring service or adjustment.
Roberts-Gordon LLC recently reintroduced the GORDONRAY® DF two-Stage, unitary low-intensity infrared heater. Due to the ability to fire at two distinct rates, the company says its GORDONRAY® DF provides energy efficient heat that can effectively adjust to sudden high heat-loss conditions or economically maintain steady comfort levels.
Rittal Corporation has introduced a new refrigerant-based rack and row cooling solution, known as LCP DX, for heat removal of critical IT components. The DX line is available in two models, as a Rack or In-line solution, and is ideal for small- to medium-sized data centers or computer rooms that need an efficient and cost-effective way to remove heat from IT equipment without the use of water or glycol.
Regal Beloit says its new DEC Star system combines patented technologies of Genteq® HEB blowers and axial flux Genteq motors to improve efficiency for HVAC appliances, and reduce input wattage by 15 to 35% over standard blowers with traditional ECM motors.
DuctSox has introduced the SkeleCore™ FTS Jumbo Series that offers 50- to 84-in diameters. The Jumbo Series is an ideal fabric duct solution for large airflow distribution requirements in high-ceiling or high bay spaces such as athletic stadiums, convention halls, aircraft hangers, industrial buildings, and other applications.
Big Ass Fans® unveiled the redesigned LED attachment for the Powerfoil®X2.0 ceiling fan. The LED produces up to 20,700 lumens, equal to the light output of 25 60-watt incandescent bulbs. For spaces that require less light, there are 9,050- and 14,500-lumen configurations available.
The UV Resources RLM Xtreme fixtureless UV-C lamp system delivers high-output ultraviolet energy to irradiate coils and destroy mold, bacteria, and microbes in high-volume HVAC environments. This modern UV-C system aims to help improve air quality, while creating a more energy-efficient HVAC system that does not need to waste energy to distribute properly conditioned air to the space.
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced its Generation Three Design Envelope pumps featuring 33 advanced energy savings models ranging in sizes from 1 to 75 hp. All of these pumps are available for two- to 10-day express shipment.
WaterFurnace International has introduced the Envision® 30-ton water source heat pump, which the company says offers efficiencies that exceed ASHRAE 90.1 standards. Featuring a modular, take-apart design, the 30-ton unit can be moved into a building in two different sections, providing a reduced weight, smaller footprint, and improved maneuverability. Each piece fits in freight elevators and through doorways for convenience. When the unit is ready for installation, the sections can be rejoined.
