The 3-5-ton unit footprint fits a common roof curb used on many existing commercial buildings. The unit can be installed without the need for an adapter, which saves customers time and money during installation.

SPX Cooling Technologies announced a redesign of its Marley AV line of factory-assembled single flow cooling towers. The new induced draft crossflow design features both single- and multi-fan models and a broader tonnage range from 122 to 772 nominal tons and flowrate of 117 to 1,541 gpm (27 to 350 m3/hr).The AV provides a compact footprint and is well-suited to support air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as light industrial loads.
Schaffner EMC introduces the ECOsine® Active 3420, a harmonic filter which provides harmonic compensation in real-time for industrial and commercial environments. With a capacity of 30 to 300A, operating at 200-480VAC (+/- 10%), the connection-ready 3420 (3-wire) cabinet models include forced air cooling and internal liquid cooling (200-300A), for the power electronics.
Quantech has expanded its line of QTC4 Air-Cooled Variable-Speed-Drive Screw Chillers to a total of 21 models ranging from 150 to 360 tons. With the expanded line, Quantech officials said many models are in-stock ready to ship within three to five days to enable immediate chiller replacement.

Through automation, AirEffect eliminates the need to constantly monitor and adjust the fans’ speed and direction in response to temperature fluctuations. AirEffect identifies and dictates the optimal operating speed and direction for each fan based on the facility’s temperature and humidity.
Nortek Global HVAC introduced a new line of highly-configurable Reznor® light commercial packaged rooftops. They are available in 6, 7.5 and 10 tons. The company says the rooftop units can be configured at the factory so consultant engineers or design-build contractors can get the exact spec unit they need delivered to the job site. With over 35 options per tonnage size, there are over 750,000 unit configurations available. A quick-ship option is available out of the factory in Dyersburg, Tenn.
Cleaver-Brooks has developed the CBEX DES (dryback elite special) 1,000 hp boiler. Engineered to fit inside a 40-ft shipping container, its compact size enables a complete boiler room to fit within a 53-ft container. According to Cleaver-Brooks officials, this allows the company to include performance guarantees for output capacity, efficiency, turndown, emissions of 30 ppm NOx, and a pressure vessel warranty.
