Johnson Controls introduced its Coleman® Outfitter™ Ultra High Efficiency Packaged Unit. The company says the unit delivers the highest AHRI-listed efficiencies in the industry — up to 18.1 SEER and 14.35 EER — due to the combination of the unit’s two-stage compressor, variable-frequency drive, high-efficiency indoor/outdoor coil, and premium-efficiency indoor/outdoor motor. A common footprint allows for easy installation on a curb, slab, roof rack, or frame.
Schebler Chimney Systems’ is offering complete design solutions for engineered stacks from the appliance to the top of the stack, customized to meet space and budget constraints. The company says its engineering and manufacturing specialists provide comprehensive engineering including design, sizing, load calculations, fabrication and installation. Consulting services include draft calculations, CAD support, 3-D modeling and mechanical specifications to reduce internal workloads and ensure accurate design.
Marlow Industries Europe GmbH has launched the Climatherm range of Air to Air heat exchangers. The new Climatherm range from Marlow brings increased heat power transfer while remaining within the industry standard footprint, according to company officials. Using thermo electrics at its core, these compact designs provide increased efficiency compared with existing designs. Using the latest heat sink technology and ducted air flow, Climatherm was thermally modeled from its concept to optimize all aspects of the design.
Danfoss will extend its inverter scroll compressor range VZH to include three new models. According to the company, the variable speed VZH compressors provide efficiency at part-load conditions, and can improve efficiency by more than 30% compared to fixed-speed compressors.
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced the Maintenance-Free (MF) versions of its S&H Circulator line and the Seal Bearing Assemblies (SBA) used to service them. The traditional sleeve bearing designs that are commonly used in this style of circulator require periodic oiling.
VTS America has rolled out its Ventus “Born in the U.S.A.” line of air handling units. The company’s product line has been engineered specifically for North American applications in a range of markets, including healthcare facilities, office buildings, schools, and retail environments.
LG Electronics USA’s Commercial Air Conditioning division says it has augmented its range of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) solutions with the new LG Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS). The LG DOAS can be used in a multiple settings, meeting the needs of a wide variety of users. It provides dehumidification of outdoor air using LG’s inverter compressor outdoor units. In addition to being seismically certified by California Office of Statewide Planning & Development, this dedicated outdoor air system is designed to provide conditioned outdoor air and maximum energy savings.
RectorSeal® Corp. has introduced the Paircoil™, pre-insulated, malleable linesets designed specifically to expedite installation of ductless mini-split and conventional air-conditioning systems in North America. Paircoil is sold in 65-ft rolls of either .25 and 3/8-in-diameter; or .25 and .50-in-diameter copper liquid/suction line sizes.
Bosch Thermotechnology has launched its new LM Series water-to-water (W2W) heat pump line for new commercial and retrofit applications. The LM Series includes five models from 2 to 6 tons. They can be used in horizontal and vertical configurations depending on the application, and feature a two-speed scroll compressor and a commutated motor as standard components for efficiency and comfort. They achieve up to 32 EER part load and up to 22 EER full load.
Grundfos has introduced an expanded line of fully integrated, intelligent pumping systems. Ideally suited for new commercial HVACR applications and deep retrofits, the line now features the MLE variable speed motor in ranges from 3 to 30 HP for building services.
